Two days to feel the full strength of Luxembourg

July 4, 2025. For two days, Luxembourg became a living laboratory of inspiration and connections for more than twenty women executives from the Gen CEO network.

The initiative, driven by Dr. Christine Theodorovics, Gen CEO member and CEO of Baloise Luxembourg, together with Chantal Schumacher, Independent Non-Executive Director, had a clear ambition: to showcase the richness and strength of the Luxembourg model — through its people, its institutions, its economic ecosystem, and its culture.

What emerged was an experience that captured the very DNA of the country: stability, openness, innovation, and diversity.

48 hours at the core of Europe

In just two intense days, participants discovered Luxembourg in all its dimensions:

  • A deep dive into European democracy at the Parliament and in the capital, where Europe is lived every day.
  • Honest conversations at Baloise with female leaders about leadership, market challenges, and the transformation of their industry.
  • Insights at Spuerkeess, alongside Luxembourg for Finance and other experts, into the country’s economy, labor market, and its role as a global financial hub.
  • A CEO roundtable (Baloise Luxembourg, SwissRe, M&G) offering a tangible look at how the Luxembourg model empowers women leaders at the highest levels.

Where strategy meets culture

The journey continued at Mudam, Luxembourg’s landmark museum of modern art, with an exclusive guided tour led by its director. An inspiring dinner followed — a moment where art, vision, and leadership seamlessly came together.

A sense of place and history

The weekend closed with a tour of Luxembourg City and the Moselle vineyards with winemaker Corinne Kox (Domaine Kox), before a symbolic stop in Schengen — birthplace of free movement in Europe. A reminder of the deep roots of a European model built on cooperation and openness.

Luxembourg that inspires

This immersion revealed what makes Luxembourg unique:

  • an agile and interconnected economic ecosystem,
  • a lived experience of cultural diversity,
  • a concrete commitment to equality,
  • and a rare ability to bridge sectors, cultures, and generations of leaders.

Over two days, the country stood out as a strategic player at the heart of Europe — a place that attracts talent, opens minds, and sparks new perspectives.

Luxembourg showed not just what it is, but what it makes possible. Letz make it happen.
