Baloise joins the fight against breast cancer during Pink October

October 31, 2024. A full month dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer screening — that’s the mission of the Pink October campaign. Every October, thousands of people across many countries unite in the fight against breast cancer, affecting both women and men.

Luxembourg is among the countries taking part in this important event, led by the Fondation Cancer Luxembourg — a partner we’ve supported since 2007, notably by taking part in the Relais pour la Vie solidarity run each March.

From the start of October, Baloise launched several initiatives to support this crucial awareness campaign and to show our solidarity with those affected by the disease. In mid-October, around 100 colleagues and agents joined a 5 km run organised by our teams, with one shared goal: raising funds for research into the causes, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure of breast cancer.

On October 31st, at the close of the campaign, Baloise matched the total donations raised. This allowed us to present a cheque of €3,600 to the Fondation Cancer Luxembourg.

This event reflects our collective commitment to the fight against breast cancer — a cause that affects us all, directly or indirectly. The energy, determination, and solidarity shown by our people are truly inspiring. Together, we prove that we can make a real impact.
