Ce qui vous attend

The Risk Officer assists the Risk Manager in the translation of the company's and Baloise Group's risk appetite and risk policies into the daily business for Bâloise Assurances Luxembourg S.A., Bâloise Vie Luxembourg S.A., Friday Insurance S.A. and Baloise Life Liechtenstein. Under the responsibility of the Risk Manager, he or she ensures the effective operation of the risk management system, executing the risk and governance program and maintaining an organization-wide and aggregated view on the company's risk profile.
The Risk Officer will be in charge of the following tasks:
  •  ICS Officer:
    • Administration of the company's internal control system in the system B-Wise
    • Identify process/risk/control weaknesses and follow issues and associated actions, where required.
    • Ensure that all control assessments  are carried out with high quality and on time
    • Assess the needs of extra process descriptions and risk / controls
    • Report identified deficiencies directly to the CFO and Company Board
    • Administration of the loss database
  • Co-ordinate the collection and updating of key risk indicators across the business
  •  Policy maintenance: Provide assistance to in developing and updating policies
  •  ALCO – RICO (Asset Liability Committee / Risk Committee): Assist the Risk manager in the preparation of the agenda, collecting and preparing the supporting documentation and writing the minutes
  • Support the company's Solvency II reporting process, namely ORSA, SFCR & RSR, QRTs 
  • Collaborate with actuarial team for the reinsurance reporting tasks and dashboard updates 
  • Create, maintain and develop positive working relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external, to support the achievement of key outcomes 
  • Create and maintain level of risk awareness at senior level and across the entire company

Ce que nous attendons

  • Must possess at minimum a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent
  • First experience in Risk, Audit or Solvency II implementation team within an insurance company or a consultancy and/or in a governance driven domain
  • High degree of independence, good reporting skills, accurate working is a natural skill
  • Affinity with financial markets and insurance concepts
  • Language skills: Fluent French and English skills are necessary in the day to day interaction with colleagues. German is considered a plus in the communication with Head Office
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in writing internal policies, documenting processes, risk and controls
  • Strong analytical skills. Detail oriented and ability to interpret figures and other financial information
  • Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player, flexible, ability to work with a variety of personalities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Occasional business travel
