Ulissi takes over the head before the final

September 18, 2020. The first yellow jersey Bâloise of this 2020 edition regains its good lost the day before in a breathless finish and after 4h45 of racing across the country. Epic!

He's back! After having let Eduard-Michael Grosu pass him the day before in Schifflange and relegate him to 5 seconds, Diego Ulissi took a nice revenge today by taking his second victory on the longest stage of the circuit, which allows him to get his jersey back before the last act that will take place tomorrow.

But with 3 climbs of 1st category that disband the peloton in the last kilometres, including the famous col de l'Europe, it was difficult to foresee the possible breakaways.

At the battle with many other sprinters like Tim Wellens (Lotto-Soudal), winner of the Tour de Wallonie in 2018 and 3rd of the Tour of Belgium in 2019, Diego Ulissi seems to hold on to a potential 4th major title after the Tour of Czech Republic (2016), the Tour of Turkey (2017) and the Tour of Slovenia (2019).

In addition to winning the stage and taking back his yellow jersey, he also takes the blue jersey Lotterie Nationale. So the Italian makes a raid on this 18th of September 2020!

The last stage between Mersch and Luxembourg should be spectacular and that's why we encourage you to come and watch this last race that will see the yellow jersey exulting in front of the Hall Victor Hugo on the Limpertsberg.
