The official press conference for the Skoda Tour de Luxembourg was held in the Losch garage and generated considerable interest among journalists in the Grand Duchy. Although the 80th edition of the race will take place in specific circumstances, many top-level teams are taking part, especially due to the fact that the Tour has integrated a new race category, the ProSeries placed just below the Word Tour.
Daniel Frank, Director and Member of the Executive Committee of the Luxembourg Bâloise Group, was present and declared: “The Tour de Luxembourg organisers warmly thank the sponsors and are certain that the event will be a great success, despite any impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the staging of the race.”
Indeed, major teams such as Ag2r-La Mondiale, Astana, Groupama-FDJ, Lotto-Soudal, UAE Team Emirates, Trek Segafredo and SPORT VLAANDEREN – BALOISE (sponsored by Baloise Insurance in Belgium) will be coming to the Grand Duchy; several Luxembourg talents will also be in the peloton consisting of 144 cyclists in all. The event will even be broadcasted on Eurosport.
